Working together with Tourism BC, our team at Dare Vancouver came up with the ultimate winter experience: a ski day with the entire mountain to yourself. Through the Great Mountain Giveaway contest, participants could have a chance to win a day on a mountain for themselves and their friends with no one else around. All they had to do was to explore a microsite, pick the resort they wanted to go to, and enter the contest.
The contest received lots of attention. Building on this initiative, I worked with the client to design an interactive, personalized email program to ensure that communication didn’t end there. The retention component of the campaign continued the conversation, allowed subscribers to explore resorts and activities, and get personalized information that directly responded to their interests.
